We are concerned about the level of dog fouling in this area and have received several complaints about it. We understand the vast majority of dog owners are responsible and comply with the law, but we would politely like to remind everyone that if you own a dog it is an offence if you do not pick up your dog poo after your dog has fouled.
Indiscriminate dog fouling is both offensive and poses a health risk by causing the spread of Toxocariosis and Salmonellosis.
We have not yet identified any responsible persons but will be increasing our patrolling of the area and if we identify anyone not clearing up after their dog we will be issuing a fixed penalty notice.
